Shrineto is a directory of Shinto shrines and the deities enshrined in them, with a search that suggests which deity may suit what you are seeking. It is offered free of charge for personal, non-commercial use.
Shrineto is a starting point, not religious authority. The association between a deity and a benefit draws on tradition, local custom, and secondary sources; such associations vary by shrine and by region, and are not doctrine. Explanatory text is generated by a language model and may be inaccurate. Nothing here is religious, medical, legal, or financial advice.
Please treat shrines and temples as the active places of worship they are, and follow the etiquette and rules of each site when you visit.
We work to keep the directory correct, but do not warrant that any record — name, location, opening hours, enshrined deity, or photograph — is accurate, complete, or current. Please confirm important details with the shrine itself before travelling.
You may browse, search, and share links to any page. You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link.
Search engines may crawl and index the site. Automated access that respects robots.txt and does not place an unreasonable load on the service is welcome.
You may not scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract the directory in whole or in substantial part, nor redistribute, resell, or republish it as a dataset or as a competing directory.
