Sarutahiko-no-Ōkami is a kami in Japanese mythology, described in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki as the earthly deity who guided Ninigi-no-Mikoto's descent from the heavens to earth, marking him as a guide of paths and new beginnings. He is closely associated with Ame-no-Uzume, whom he later married, and this pairing has led shrines dedicated to him to be regarded by some as places connected to guidance in union and partnership. Sarutahiko is venerated primarily at shrines such as Tsubaki Grand Shrine, where he is honored as a guardian of roads, crossroads, and the removal of obstacles.
