Okibitsuhiko no Mikoto

Okibitsuhiko no Mikoto is a deity enshrined primarily at Kibitsu Shrine in Okayama Prefecture, traditionally identified with Prince Isaserihiko, a legendary imperial prince said to have subdued a marauding figure known as Ura in the ancient Kibi region. Through this legend, the deity has come to be associated with the pacification of threats and the establishment of order and protection over the land. Worshippers have historically approached this figure in connection with safeguarding, purification of harm, and the overcoming of adversity, reflecting the subjugation narrative central to the shrine's founding traditions.
