Amenokoyane-no-Mikoto is a kami from Japanese mythology, described in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki as the ancestral deity of the Nakatomi and later Fujiwara clans, who served as priestly intermediaries in the imperial court. He is particularly known for his role in the myth of Amaterasu's emergence from the cave, where he performed divination and recited ritual prayers to help lure her out.
