Kushinadahime no Mikoto is a deity from Japanese mythology best known as the maiden rescued by the god Susanoo from the monstrous serpent Yamata no Orochi, an episode recorded in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki. After her rescue, she became Susanoo's consort, and their union is traditionally regarded as an origin point for subsequent generations of kami.
