塩土老翁神
Shiotsuchinooji no Kami is a Shinto deity known as an old man of the tides or salt, associated with the sea and guidance across its waters. In classical mythology, this deity appears as a wise elder who offers counsel to other gods, notably assisting Hoori (Prince Hikohohodemi) in his journey to the sea god's palace. Because of this role, Shiotsuchinooji no Kami is venerated at shrines connected to seafaring, fishing communities, and coastal agriculture that depend on the rhythms of the tides.
