Konohanasakuya-hime-no-mikoto

Konohanasakuya-hime-no-mikoto is a deity from Japanese mythology recorded in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, known as the daughter of the mountain god Ōyamatsumi and the wife of Ninigi-no-Mikoto, grandson of the sun goddess Amaterasu. Her name is associated with blossoming flowers, particularly cherry blossoms, and she is traditionally linked to fertility and childbirth due to accounts of her giving birth swiftly and safely amid trial by fire to prove her children's divine parentage. She is also venerated in connection with agriculture and the flourishing of crops, and is enshrined at various sites including Fujisan Hongū Sengen Taisha, reflecting her broader association with Mount Fuji and natural abundance.
