白山比咩大神(菊理媛尊)
Shirayamahime-no-okami, also known as Kukurihime-no-kami, is a deity enshrined at Shirayama Hime Shrine in Ishikawa Prefecture and is closely associated with Mount Haku (Hakusan), one of Japan's three sacred mountains. She appears briefly in the Nihon Shoki in connection with mediating between Izanagi and Izanami at the boundary between the living and the dead, an episode from which some later traditions have drawn associations with harmony and matchmaking. Worshippers have historically approached her in connection with union and reconciliation between people, alongside broader reverence for her role as a mountain and water deity.
