Ninigi-no-mikoto

Ninigi-no-Mikoto is a deity in Japanese mythology, grandson of the sun goddess Amaterasu, who is said to have descended from the heavens to the earthly realm to establish the imperial lineage of Japan. He is traditionally associated with rice cultivation and the fertility of the land, reflecting agriculture's central role in early Japanese society and belief. As an ancestral figure linked to the origins of the imperial line, he is venerated at various shrines, particularly in connection with the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki narratives of divine descent.
