奴奈川姫命
Nunakawahime-no-mikoto is a deity from Japanese mythology associated with the Koshi region (present-day Niigata and Nagano), noted particularly in the Kojiki for her courtship exchange with Okuninushi-no-mikoto, expressed through a poignant sequence of poems. Their union is traditionally said to have produced offspring, including the deity Takeminakata-no-kami, linking her to themes of marriage, romantic union, and fertility. She is often connected with jade (agate) and water, reflecting local traditions of the Koshi area where she was venerated as a regional goddess before her incorporation into wider mythological narratives.
