Kushimachi-no-mikoto is a lesser-known kami mentioned in early Japanese mythological and ritual traditions, associated with purification and exorcism practices. Such deities were often invoked in norito (ritual prayers) and ceremonies intended to remove impurity, misfortune, or defilement from individuals or communities. Documentation on Kushimachi-no-mikoto is sparse, and much of what is known comes from classical texts and shrine records rather than extensive independent scholarship.
