住吉三神
Sumiyoshi Sanjin refers to the three kami—Sokotsutsu-no-o, Nakatsutsu-no-o, and Uwatsutsu-no-o—born from the purification of Izanagi after his return from the underworld, as recounted in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki. These deities are traditionally enshrined together at Sumiyoshi Taisha in Osaka and are venerated as guardians of the sea and safe passage, closely tied to sailors, ports, and maritime travel throughout Japanese history.
